I connected it on a little old LCD TV and that TV came to life, just got a second wind.
This is an amazing streaming device that hooks up to the google home environment, is very speedy and has the responsivness you'd expect from a Google product. I bought several more I was so impressed! Highly recommended!!!
I got more of what I expected! This Google TV works out perfectly, it surprised me a lot when I turned it on. It makes your relax time with the TV a lot easier.
Lovin it So far, they even threw in 6 months of Peacock premium. And a free week of Sling. set up was a breeze. really enhanced my picture quality. And you can hook ear phones or buds to it now via Bluetoof... Better than Cable if you ask me. Awesomesauce
Great!!! You don’t even need to buy a smart TV anymore, this has it all!! Hulu, HBO, Netflix, Starz, YouTube and even Spotify and a lot more. (Crunchyroll too!)
Great device for all your streaming apps. The Google TV Chromecast is my favorite streaming device. This is the second one we have connected to our Bedroom TV.
I have an older TV model (I believe 2015 or 14) and I love how this chromecast turned it to a smart TV, well, sort of. The remote control is very useful but needed to learn how to use it with the apps, didn't take long though. The initial setup was fully guided and clear I guess even without technical background you will not have an issue following the instructions. You can link your streaming services subscriptions easily and can install other streaming apps, and some games. All in all, I love it
Love the product 5/5 stars for its capabilities, value and design compared to other more expensive devices, but disappointed with Walmart's delivery Service (-2 stars). It took 3 attempts to deliver the product to my Apartment complex for which I had provided the gate code and clear delivery instructs. On the 1st attempt, Walmart's contracted driver left the package practically on the street where it was swiftly stolen (see photo). I was told by Walmart I would have to cancel the order and re-order and on the second attempt at getting this product delivered and even though there are plenty of commercial parking spots available around my home, the driver called me and said it was too difficult to park in my neighborhood and she could not deliver the package. The order stayed in limbo for the next 4 days and Walmart made no further attempts to deliver the package. It seems they "forgot" about my order and after repeatedly calling several time, finally I had to reorder the package a third time and had no choice but to pay $10 to have it hand delivered to me via "Express" (which Walmart later refunded). I am a Walmart member and currently very disappointed with the delivery service, I am considering going back to Amazon Prime. If Walmart is to compete with other services, the company really need to improve their delivery service. My first suggest dump the Uber drivers and hire their own.
I ordered a NEW chromecast and received a used non working one. plugged it into the tv and all that is shown is a green arrow and does not do anything. This is trash. The box came with a fake seal and with one of the batteries already in the remote showing it was used. The cords unorganized just tossed in. I still tried to make it work and plug it into the tv to get nothing but a dumb green arrow that has been stuck for over 30mins. I unplugged and re-plugged it and still nothing.
